Our Community Health Outreach program addresses the interconnected challenges of health and education in rural Oyam District. We organize quarterly health fairs that provide free health screenings, hygiene education, and referrals to healthcare facilities.
The program also includes a nutrition initiative that educates families about balanced diets using locally available foods, and a menstrual health program that provides reusable sanitary products to girls in school to reduce absenteeism.
Since launching, we have reached over 2,000 community members through our health fairs and reduced school absenteeism among girls by 40% through our menstrual health initiative.
