On International Women's Day, we celebrate the incredible women in our community who have transformed their lives through the Kwan Skills Training program. These women came to us with limited options and left with the skills, confidence, and tools to build sustainable livelihoods.
Beatrice, a single mother of three, learned tailoring through our 6-month program. Today, she runs a thriving tailoring business in Oyam town and employs two apprentices. Her children are now all in school, funded entirely by her business income.
Agnes joined our agricultural training program and learned modern farming techniques, including kitchen gardening and poultry keeping. She now supplies vegetables to local markets and restaurants, earning a steady income that has lifted her family out of poverty.
These stories remind us that when women are empowered with skills and opportunities, entire communities benefit. We remain committed to expanding our skills training programs to reach even more women across Oyam District.
