A Day in the Life of a Kwan Scholar

Samuel wakes up at 5:30 AM every morning. Before the sun rises over Kulakula village, he is already seated under the dim light of a solar lantern that Kwan provided, reviewing his mathematics notes.

By 6:30 AM, he has helped his grandmother fetch water from the borehole and is on his way to school, a 3-kilometer walk through the red-dirt paths of Oyam. His school bag, provided by Kwan, carries his books, a packed lunch, and his dreams of becoming an engineer.

At school, Samuel is known as the boy who asks the most questions. His teachers say his curiosity is infectious, often sparking lively discussions in class. During break time, he leads a study group where he helps other students with difficult math problems.

After school, Samuel tends to the small vegetable garden he started at home using techniques he learned from a Kwan agricultural workshop. The vegetables supplement his grandmother's diet and the surplus is sold at the local market.

By evening, Samuel is back under his solar lantern, this time working on his homework. His grandmother watches proudly, knowing that this boy is going to change their family's story forever.
