James Okello

James completed a diploma in Information Technology and now works as an IT support specialist at a company in Kampala. He was the first person in his family to attend a tertiary institution.

Background

James grew up in extreme poverty in Ngai village. His parents were subsistence farmers who could barely provide one meal a day. Education seemed like a luxury far beyond reach.

Impact

James now sponsors two primary school students from his village through their education, paying it forward. He volunteers his IT skills to help Kwan with their digital presence and record-keeping.
