Grace Akello

Grace was one of the first Kwan scholarship recipients. She completed her degree in Education at Gulu University and is now a secondary school teacher in Lira District.

Background

Growing up as an orphan in Oyam, Grace had no hope of completing her education. The Kwan scholarship covered her entire educational journey from Senior 1 through university.

Impact

Today, Grace mentors current Kwan scholars and regularly returns to speak at events. She has inspired dozens of young girls in her community to pursue education despite financial challenges.
